As the front-of-house client relations, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer service experience for our clients and patients.

  • client relations

  • care and monitoring of hospitalised patients and critical transfers
  • taking bloods and placing IV catheters
  • anaesthetic monitoring of high risk patients
  • digital radiography, CT scans and lab testing
  • fluid therapy and blood transfusion monitoring

We have an in-house full IDEXX laboratory and blood gas capabilities, smartflow inpatient hospital system, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, oscillometric blood pressure, doppler, capnography, ECG, endoscopy, fluid therapy and more.

You will be able to work well in a fast paced environment and must be:

  • self-motivated and good at multi-tasking
  • able to communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • a good team player and willing to work extra hours if needed
  • enthusiastic and compassionate
  • skilled at using computers and being familiar with Vetlink software would be an advantage
  • a qualified veterinary nurse with at least 2 years experience

The Small Animal Surgeon Ltd is a referral-only service providing specialist surgical care for cats and dogs.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and preferably experienced veterinary nurse for this varied role. New graduates would also be considered. The position involves all aspects of in-patient care, anaesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting (scrubbed), radiography, assisting with MRI and CT visits, managing client communications and relationships, administration (eg records management and data entry), and some cleaning tasks including kennel cleaning.

The ideal candidate would be physically fit, reliable and responsible, with excellent attention to detail, initiative and a positive attitude. Good animal handling and interpersonal skills are essential. A person that can communicate well with clients, other staff and referring veterinarians is required.

An ability to work well as a part of our team is very important. Hours at least 33.5 hours per week over four days, but there is a potential for more hours by negotiation. Three month trial period will apply.
