2025 NZVNA and Hill’s Vet Nurse of the Year

Congratulations to Alex Flowers, the 2025 NZVNA and Hill’s Vet Nurse of the Year. Alex embodies everything it means to be a Veterinary Nurse. She is compassionate, dedicated, and endlessly committed to providing the very best care and support for her patients, clients, and team.

Alex said she was “honoured and touched” to be presented with the 2025 NZVNA and Hill’s Vet Nurse of the Year award.

“It is so amazing to feel such recognition for my abilities in the industry and role that I am so passionate about," she said. "Each day since has brought another touching reminder and is spurring me on to strive for more. Thank you so much to everyone who nominated me!"

“The day after winning, I flew out to Cairns for an amazing holiday with one of my favourite people, my friend of more than a decade, Nicole. We explored all that this amazing place had to offer, including snorkelling with turtles, white water rafting, and swimming in stunning locations, like behind a waterfall and down a rockslide. It was an amazing way to celebrate!”
